Heidelberg Dave’s course was developed in conjunction with Heidelberg Press (the world’s largest printing press manufacturer). Heidelberg tried for several years to establish the masters course at its own Print Media Academy in Germany but had been unsuccessful. It wasn’t until Heidelberg partnered with the London College of Communication that the program was able to (barely) take afloat. That being said, however, it is the only course like it in the world in which it is directly associated with a leader in the printing industry. There are only 5 students in total in Dave’s program, all of which come from different countries. In addition to Dave, there is Josh from Edmonton, Alberta; Loo from Singapore; Chuanzhi from China and Jim who is Indian, but mostly grew up in Saudi Arabia. Dave’s in the middle of the age bracket with two students older than him and two younger.
