Iceland January 2008 We flew Iceland Air back to the US and stopped
off in Reykjavik along the way. Believe it or not, snow is actually
rare in Reykjavik but we were there for it, and a lot of it! Iceland
is an amazing place, the entire population is only 320,000 -- an
entire country that's half the population of Wyoming. A pint of
beer cost $12 (granted that was before the economic crash). 87%
of Iceland's buildings are heated using geothermal resources. City
busses run on hydrogen and anybody with a hydrogen car can fill
up for free. Not to mention, It didn't get light until 9:30 a.m.

in snow at the Skálholt Cathedral, downtown Reykjavik and
Dave soaking in the famous Blue Lagoon.
